Interview with Carlotta Giovannini – New CEO of the Order’s Citizens.

Appointed on April 7, 2021 as the new CEO of Citizens of the Order, Dr. Carlotta Giovannini introduces herself in an interesting interview in the magazine Securindex Essecome, tracing her story from her debut in the group, which she joined in 2003.

The new CEO is clear about the strategy the company will need to adopt to achieve its goals in the future:

First and foremost, to strengthen its presence in the territories where it operates through a careful campaign to consolidate acquired customers and expand its sales base. In such work, we are continually looking for good commercial figures to join our structure. We have also prepared a policy of territorial expansion to cover territories adjacent to those in which we already operate through targeted acquisitions and through forms of direct collaboration with companies that still allow respect for the operational and commercial historicity they have acquired. […] Indeed, I believe that, soon, the security sector will also have to be involved in the broader circuit of ‘sustainable development’ that increasingly drives industrial processes and the channelling of public resources. Cittadini dell’Odine has established a ‘green’ division, which I have the pleasure of personally following, thanks to which partnerships have been defined for projects related, precisely, to environmental sustainability.

Also inevitable is the question about the current regulation of the industry:

Today’s world is the child of the 2008 reform, where an attempt had been made to give a different dignity to sector companies and sworn special guard operators. The work, however, turns out to be something of an unfinished business because the area of operation reserved for security does not hold in the market, the cost gap between armed and unarmed employees is so high that it pushes clients, including public ones, to interpretative fantasies to the limit, if not beyond the law in order to see guaranteed savings. […] It is clear that status without services is useless. Until, therefore, some attention can be recovered from institutions or politics, it will be necessary to “navigate by sight,” adapting one’s organization to the needs of the market. There is no doubt now that “resilience” is the watchword for modern business.
